Rooted Kid’s Ministry

Rooted: Rooting children in God’s Word and finding ground in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus (Col. 2:6-7)

Weekly kid’s ministry:

  • Awana: Awana is our Wednesday ministry program for children ages 3yrs to 5th grade. Awana is split into Cubbies (3yrs-4yrs), Sparks (K-2nd), and T&T (3rd-5th). Kids represent the greatest opportunity to make a long-term impact on our world for Christ. Awana establishes welcoming, supportive environments where kids, from every background and cultural setting, learn how a personal relationship with Christ affects their everyday lives. Tour through the interactive map to learn how Awana can partner with your church to reach kids with the gospel and develop long-term disciples.
  • Sunday Small Groups: Sunday morning at 9:30 in our children’s area, kid’s from K-5th can join us for a time of fun, music, bible study, games and crafts. Children are split up into age groups (K-1st, 2nd-3rd, 4th-5th) with two small group leaders to be there to love them, guide/lead them, and tell them about God’s Word (The Bible).
    • Small Group Leaders:
      • K-2nd: Alison Martinez and Ashley Manning
      • 3rd-5th: Kelly Crawford and Jacob/Brandi Wright
      • Substitutes: Rachel Minor and Aaron Gregory
  • Family Worship GuidesFamily Worship Guide (9-24)Through our family ministry at First Baptist Seminole, our staff and leaders believe that the job of primary spiritual teaching of a kid’s life is given to parents. We at FBC are wanting you all as parents to know that we are your biggest fan/supporter, equipping you and cheering you on as your share Jesus with your child at home.To this end we have started making Family Worship Guide’s to help guide activities and conversations at home to nail down the truths of God’s word for your child. These stories, activities, and scriptures go hand in hand with the preschool and children’s ministry small group time at 9:30 on Sunday morning. You can find these family worship guides every Sunday at the welcome area of both the preschool and children’s areas, through a greeter handing you one, or at the entrances of the sanctuary. Your child can take part in the activities during the large family worship service at 10:45 on Sunday, then the family activity is something you could do during the week at home together. I pray this is a help for you and your child as you walk with Jesus this week. This family worship guide is from the past couple weeks.
  • The Garden Family Nights: The Garden Family Nights are times for you and your family to come and have family focused fun together. We often times have games, fun, music, food, and more to love on your family. We want you to feel welcomed and enjoy your time with us. Below is just a couple photos from our recent Family Ministry night at the Seminole Splash Park.
